Luton Airport jobs fair

Looking for a new role or fancy a career change? Head to Luton Airport on Wednesday 3rd May, as they’ll be hosting a jobs fair!
In partnership with Luton Borough Council, Job Centre Plus & Community Interest Luton, the airport aim to showcase over 200 available job opportunities, following the success of last year’s event which attracted over 900 locals seeking recruitment. This year’s installments of the event will take place at Venue Central in Luton and will be home to 20 locally-based employers looking to promote their available jobs & positions around the airport. Available positions range from aviation to construction and retail.

Visitors of the event will be able to speak personally to prospective employers while also having the opportunity to establish contacts and learning more about job responsibilities and requirements. The event will also obviously have the opportunity for applicants to apply for certain positions on the day. In the previous year’s event, more than 70 people were offered follow up interviews on the spot.

Chika Austin, Community Relations Executive at LLA, said: “Last year’s event was an amazing success; 29 people are currently working at the airport as a result of the attending the fair.

“A further 80 local residents have started this month in our brand new Bella Italia restaurant.We’re looking forward to the same kind of success this time round.As our redevelopment continues, we remain committed to supporting employment opportunities for the local community.With even more businesses joining our expanded retail offer, now is the perfect time to get on board.
